About Our Contributors
Nick Dancaescu is a shareholder with GrayRobinson P.A. in Orlando, FL. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state and Federal Courts, including the 11th Circuit. He is rated “AV” Preeminent and has been practicing eminent domain and property rights litigation for over 10 years.
Nick was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and grew up in Girdwood, Alaska, and Pensacola, Florida where he graduated Pensacola High School’s International Baccalaureate program. He holds three degrees from the University of Florida – a joint BA in business geography and political science (magna cum laude), juris doctor (cum laude) and as well as a Masters in Science in Real Estate from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. Nick has worked as a licensed Realtor and with the land acquisition department of one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. He has also spent time on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., working in the Senate.
Nick has traveled extensively and lived abroad in Athens, Greece; Weissenhorn, Germany; and Cape Town, South Africa. In 2003, his article regarding the dangers of unchecked government land redistribution was cited in an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark eminent domain case of Kelo v. City of New London.
